It all started with a need for something better.

Frustrated by the harsh chemicals in everyday skincare and pet grooming products, founder Sandra Nelson set out to create a range that was safe, gentle, and truly natural. What began as a kitchen experiment in 2021 has grown into a thriving community of conscious customers who care deeply about what goes on their skin — and their pets'.

Based in Aotearoa New Zealand, Natural Common Scents is a family-owned business rooted in sustainability, transparency, and kindness. Every product is handmade in small batches in our own workshop — because we believe what goes on your body matters as much as what goes in it.

Our Ingredients Philosophy

We use pure essential oils for scent and therapeutic benefits, castile soap made from olive oil for gentle cleansing, and natural butters and waxes like shea, cocoa, and beeswax for deep hydration. We never use parabens, sulphates, or synthetic fragrances — ever. If it's not good enough for us, it's not good enough for you.
